Back to School

As I head into my senior year of college, I thought it would be fun (and prudent) to share my back to school wishlist that is perfect for any collegiate! A killer pair of leggings paired with some stylish and simple crew necks are the perfect uniform for any student. A pair of chic and professional shoes alongside classic chucks are definitely necessary this year. Add a backpack and a leather jacket and whether you're a student or just getting ready for fall fashion you'll be A+ ready!

Lollapalooza Clothing Essentials

This year the Lolla weather forecast predicts fun in the sun with more rational temperatures than past years. This means that we can take advantage of layers (like true Chicagoans) and embrace cool nights of fun and dancing. Some key items I think every festival goer needs are: a rockn' crossbody, some statement sunnies, comfortable and cute shoes and a secret flask (like the one featured above from Cynthia Rowley), just to name a few. ;) Be sure to check out my other essentials above for Lollapalooza this year. As midterms approach I cant help but crave hometown style and my summertime lack of class(es). A reduced colorway of neutrals mixed with touches of berry for a fall look that is simply, too cool for school. While the jeans and tee look is definitely transferable there is something to be said for the killer fall bootie as a staple for fall to get some height on traditional fall looks.

One final Lolla post...

 

Remember that awesome pre-Lolla party that SOTW hosted with Cynthia Rowley? With fall ever present, no time like the present to reminisce about the lovely party we had celebrating music and fashion.

What You Should be Doing Tomorrow Night

It's finally that time of year again. It's almost as if the days before Lollapalooza bring a calmness throughout the city. A "Twas' the Night Before Christmas" sort of feeling runs rampant through the minds of Lolla goers everywhere as the countdown continues to the ultimate first weekend of August.
