As midterms approach I cant help but crave hometown style and my summertime lack of class(es). A reduced colorway of neutrals mixed with touches of berry for a fall look that is simply, too cool for school. While the jeans and tee look is definitely transferable there is something to be said for the killer fall bootie as a staple for fall to get some height on traditional fall looks.

Sweat is the new cool

As the weather is finally starting to transition from the 80s to the 70s it is time to start putting away the tanks and the short shorts in exchange for something a little warmer. Now, I do not believe that it is time to bust out the parka or what have you, but, say, a sweatshirt to keep you from shivering during the beginning of brisk nights and breezy days.

Now, in the past I have not been a supporter of comfort over style. Sweatshirts, sweatpants...(gulp) yoga pants? NOT for public. However, fall 2012 is being a friend to us all and revamping the sweatshirt; giving it a serious upgrade. Embellishments, embroidery and colorful graphic designs are all invited to the classic crew neck. Thus, it is safe to welcome them into our closets and wear them with skinnies, skirts, leggings and more.

Try out the look for outdoor fall festivities and casual nights out. The look is easy, comfy and SOTW approved.
