Happy birthday, David Bowie

This doesn't seem right: on his birthday, Bowie decided to give US a present. It's the other way around, Mr. Stardust. But we'll take it anyway.

The track, "Where Are We Now," is off of Bowie's upcoming full-length, The Next Day, which should be released in March.

Music Video: Lana Del Rey - "Ride"

Wow... Get ready for an epic 10-minute video directed by Anthony Mandler and written by Lana Del Rey for "Ride" her new single off of Born to Die: The Paradise Edition.

Lana Del Rey portrays a singer/free spirit/biker chick with a touch of prostitute thrown in. I particularly appreciate the authenticity of the biker men used in the video. She could have chose some roughed up looking male models, but instead took the realistic approach. Way to go, Lana.

I like the song, Lana Del Rey is looking fantastic as usual, and I think the video is beautifully shot, but I couldn't keep myself from giggling now and then while watching it all. Go ahead, take a look.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs has just released a video for "Your Love", the latest single off of his album, Trouble. No dinosaur suits for me to covet this time, but it's definitely another video showcasing his unique fashion sense. I'm pretty sure there isn't one song off of this album that I don't like.

What a way to end summer, this song is AMAZING, and what a great combo with Damian and Skrillex, I just want to be on some yacht and dancing on the bow.

I've recently started getting into Japandroids and after watching their new video, "The House That Heaven Built", it has completely cemented my joy for them. Not only does it make me want to go see a show, but now I've got the song stuck in my head and have a sudden urge to drink whiskey and shoot guns. Oddly enough, I'll probably be doing a lot of the same things on my upcoming vacation...

Band Profile: The Lumineers

Have you heard these guys yet? I put "Ho Hey" on one of my mix CDs for my car, and I've been loving it, though the lyrics "I don't know where I went wrong/but I can write a song"  are a bit weak. Despite that, the song is darn catchy. The band will be performing on the Tonight Show on July 25th, in fact, as their popular single has garnered a lot of attention.
