As seen on MOG.com - North Coast Music Festival Preview

MOG.com
Hello MOG Friends,
It’s hard to believe another festival is just around the corner here in Chicago. Labor Day weekend features a brand spankin’ new festival called North Coast and it’s going to be held at Union Park. What better way to spend a long three-day weekend!? Not only are there three days filled with music, but also some slamming after parties.

Kicking things off on Friday, September 3rd with Orchard Lounge, be sure to bring your dancing shoes for these Chicago natives. Then dance your way over to Paul Kalkbrenner, Paul Van Dyk, and Pretty Lights, ending the day off head slapping with The Chemical Brothers. Don’t forget about the Red Bull Local stage, which has bands going non-stop from 5:00-10:00 pm. Then hop on the el and head over to Schubas for California Wives official CD release after party, along with guests Panda Riot, Color Radio, and Gemini Club.

Umphrey's McGee
Day two kicks things off at noon with Save the Clocktower over at the Red Bull Local stage.  Saturday’s line-up is crazier than ever and is going to have you running between stages with bands like MC Winner, Two Fresh, Van Ghost, The New Deal, De La Soul, and Umphrey’s McGee (check out interview here).

Van Ghost
Hello day three!  Your legs are cramping a little bit by now, but that won't stop you from loving the final day of this eclectic music festival.  Go grab brunch with friends, recharge, then head over to Union Park.  Starting things off at 1:00 pm is DJ Winner, then keep the dancing going with Skeet Skeet (check out his amazing remix of Meddle by Little Boots), Maps And Atlases, and then beat feet over to the North Stage to check out Brooklyn's Holy Ghost!. Then prep yourself for Mayer Hawthorne & The Country, who toured with Passion Pit earlier this year.  Superstar it out with Lupe Fiasco at the Groupon: What’s A Music? stage. Concluding the weekend with Nas & Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley at 8:30 pm at the North Stage.  Now breathe because the good news is Monday is Labor Day, which means another day to recover at a BBQ or maybe just keep the partying going…
