On April 1, Factor Women, a high end boutique modeling agency, formally known as Elite Chicago and Atlanta, hosted an exclusive event called New Generation of Faces. The event was held at the saucy Martini Park in Chicago, and was designed to showcase 30 of the newest models to the agency’s top clients.
The extravaganza started off with a distinguished cocktail reception that lead into to a video documentary five of the models who opened the show. The runway show finale presented clothing from Ikram, an extraordinary boutique in Chicago. Leading players from companies such as Seventeen Magazine, Shopbop, Ann Taylor, Avon, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, New York & Company, ShopBop, JC Penney, Bon Ton, Urban Outfitters, and many more were on the edge of their seats watching the New Generation cast walk down the lit runway. These new-to-the-modeling-world runway models surely impressed the leading figures in the fashion industry as they strutted the runway, almost as though they had been doing it for years.
While mingling in the crowd for at the after party, I was able to meet some of the more seasoned models, such as Top Model Winner, McKey Sullivan, from my hometown Lake Forest, IL. Holly Bartle one of Shopbop’s leading ladies, and Sarah Vonderhaar, a top model contestant along with a few others from season 8 were also present.
Factor Women, New Generation of Faces was an exciting, dramatic event that introduced the fresh faces into the fashion world. I expect great things from this new group of diverse girls
