Come check out weekend, the post-punk band from San Francisco now located in Brooklyn. They’ve played the hottest venues for indie music such as Glasslands and 285 Kent, both located in the borough they now call home. Their new album jinx coming out July 23rd is amazing. Full of upbeat but still somber tracks, it feels like the tension experienced in young adulthood between being nostalgic about the past, optimistic about the present, and scared about the future. Described by front man Shaun Durkan as "Volatile. Cathartic. Bittersweet", this band is more than worth checking out, it's a must.
