Little Dragon- Ritual Union

Little Dragon, and their most recent album release, Ritual Union, is perfect for those (like me!) who love hearing multi-genre layers embedded into synth-y electronic sounds. The album has a very focused, determined feel that is miraculously balanced out by lead singer Yukimi Nagano's sultry, R&B influenced vocals that sooth like a good folk song. This is especially heard in the title track "Ritual Union", which could sooth you to sleep with the sound of Nagano's voice but at the same time make you feel like going for a 5 mile run!!!

The Swedish band's album really flows, and is extremely hypnotic throughout, especially perfect for any dancing moment. Be sure to check out the track "Nightlife" for such occasions, as its catchy pop chorus will compel you to let loose in every way possible. Little Dragon will be at Northcoast Music Festival on Sept. 4th.
