Lolla Preview: Skylar Grey, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Reptar

Lollapalooza is less than a week a way and we are super excited to talk with some of the awesome artists on this years lineup!!! However, before we get to hear from the artists themselves, we thought we would shout out some artists who we are especially excited to see at the Lollapalooza's marathon of music.
Make sure to see Skylar Grey.
This girl has got a madresume, from being the guest vocalist on Fort Minor's "Where'd you go", not mention her recent appearance on the popular radio track "I Need a Doctor" by Dr. Dre, as well as an appearance on Lupe Fiasco's Lasers. However, these things are not even half of what Grey has to offer.... her new single "Invisible" is set to premier this month on KIIS fm, and "Dance Without You" is definitely worth many repeat listening sessions. The
single (Dance Without You) has a hard electronic edge, with a funky backbeat, and combined with her gliding vocals it's an irresistible combo. She'll be on the Lollapalooza BMI stage Saturday, Aug. 6th from 2:30-3:15.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. is also an act we can't way to rock to. With classic style, the soft crooning voices of Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein, the group is a fantastic addition to the Lolla line-up. Hailing from Detroit, the duo's music just screams summer, with each track giving you the contentment that is reminiscent of what you'd feel on a day with a summer breeze and lots of sunshine. Not to mention their more upbeat tracks seem to compel you to pull out as much clapping and nerdy, "groovy" dance moves as possible. The group will be on the Google+ stage at 3:15 pm Sunday, August 7th. (Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. Photo: daleearnhardtjrjr.com)

However, if you really, really,
REALLY want to "get down", we suggest REPTAR, whose music is covered in commanding, ethnic, worldly beats, and synthesizers. Their name (and their sound really) is a great, giant, flashback to your childhood, with a little randomness and discovery on each track. The quirkiness of their music reminds you of that "care-free kid" feeling... a feeling you will for sure have, jumping to the infectiousness of their sound. Reptar will be on the Google+ Stage, Friday, August 5th at 2:15. (Reptar photo: reptarmusic.com)

PS!!! CHECK BACK ON SOTW FOR AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH DALE EARNHARDT JR. JR. AFTER LOLLA!!!

Dear North Coast,

You blew us away! First year was for sure a charm for this first around festival taking place at Chicago’s Union Park. With quite the dynamic line-up, it wasn’t trust drawing the indie crowd. All walks of life attending this festival, because the spin of the line-up being such a melting pot. This gets us wondering what do they have in store for next year? Are they bringing back some bands from this year? Or are they clearing the slate and starting with a whole new slate? All I can say we certainly know over here what we will be doing next year Labor Day weekend… till next year.

3- Days of music and fashion pictured above and below…I think they speak for themselves! After all a picture says a 1,000 words!
