Do It Local and MAAF
There's a lot to go to this weekend!
The Do It Local Fest, held July 21 and 22 at the Capitol Club on Milwaukee Ave, has a smashing two-day lineup of local acts. Did I mention it's dirt-cheap? A 1-day pass is $5 and a 2-day pass is $8. You can find more details and the full line-up here. They've got Chicago gems like Tin Tin Can, Bad Bad Meow, and Fox the Cat gracing the stage. This is a great way to support local music and find a new favorite Chicago band.
The Milwaukee Avenue Arts Fest also offers a lot of music for your ears. Go here for the full list: there's an overwhelming list of bands, including Mutts, Anna Tijoux, My Gold Mask, and In Tall Buildings. The fest runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
