Pre-SXSW interview - The Courtesy Tier

SXSW approaches, and in preparation, I've been chatting with the bands that are playing at our unofficial SXSW party with Grape Juice Records and Township Records, Grape Stic on the Town! (Sadly, I won't be there - staying in Chicago to walk dogs and make music).
I got to talk with Omer Leibovitz of Courtesy Tier on the phone the other day. Omer (guitar) and Layton (drums) have been gearing up to play four shows in Austin.
About playing music for a living, Omer said, “It’s the thing we enjoy most to do, so we keep doing it.  Every time we try to do other things, we end up playing anyway.”
“Mostly we are trying to convey authenticity [through our music],” he said.
Courtesy Tier released an EP and LP this year.  Visit their website to download, and if you're going to SXSW, come see them at Grape Stic on the Town!
