I'm excited to introduce you all to my friend Miguel's newest venture, EcoDrodies.
EchoDroides is a collaboration between Chicago natives Frank De La Mora & Trancid (Miguel Martin). Their sound is synthpop with a flavor of Italo and Nu Disco. The duo say their music’s influences come largely from geniuses like Giorgio Moroder, Vince Clarke, Alexander Robotnik and Telex just to name a few.
Frank and Miguel have been good friends for a while and involved in the music scene for many years in their respective ways and decided in the spring of 2011 to start working on some remixes for California’s “The New Division” and Chicago’s “Comasoft”. After finishing them up, they figured why not take a shot and see what kind of original music they can come up with. The end result was a completed EP, titled Telescopic.
Congrats to Chicago natives Miguel and Frank, this is getting added to the SOTW workout mix ASAP.
