This project of Allyson Baker, wife to Aesop Rock (a co-producer of the record), Metal Moon is filled with gritty rhythms & pulsing beats. Think if AC/DC met The Slits, fell in love and had a baby. It's certainly reminscent of a time past, but with a modern freshness. I think you are going to love this one.
Also, POLIÇA, featuring producers from GAYNGS, making music like nothing you've heard before. Their debut LP, Give You The Ghost, mixes elements of R&B, electronica and indie pop. The sound is lush and textured, keeping you hooked at every turn. Give You The Ghost is out on Valentines Day.
