Miike Snow's single Devil's Works, has the kind of elaborate and lush instrumentation on his newly released single that really gets me excited. It is not very often that you can cleverly have a french horn solo amidst synth rifts and have them really flow in conjunction with one another. Along with producer's Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, Andrew Wyatt's voice glides along the track, lilting and climbing the thick landscape in such a powerful elegant fashion...But what really gets me, is the break down at the end of the chorus that relies mainly on a chordal percussive piano for its determined strength. There are so many interesting aspects to this song, you need to decide for yourself what makes it such pop magic!!!
