First Aid Kit sound like they always know the truths of this world through their upfront folk sound. This is similarly the case on their new single, The Lion's Roar that includes the title track as well as accompanying track "Marriane's Son". "The Lion's Roar" is has a very intense energy about it. Slow beating drums hover in the background as the Swedish sister-act's begging croons eventually burst into hearty, and proud strums. As a perfect balance to the heavier track on the single, is the lighter and almost lullaby-esque "Marianne's Son", which leaves you like a sweet kiss on the cheek.
