Skate-able Art - By Nike Skateboarding

Skateboarders are known to use whatever they can to skate on and jump off of, from skating in pools, to using railings, now they can skate on art. It's called Art In the Streets and is designed by Nike SB team rider Lance Mountain and artist Geoff McFetridge and built by California Skateparks. This can all be seen at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles

I don't know about you all, but doesn't the skate ramps look like something out of Pac-Man? How about those shoes? Flash back to the early 90's!

“Skateboarding and graffiti in their infancy seemed to have no boundaries or constraints,” said Lance Mountain. “As they grew, matured and drew more public attention, skateboarders & artists had to figure out creative ways to disguise their art and find new terrain and canvases to express themselves on. Our goal here was to make artwork truly skate-able within the museum’s space. Sometimes art & skateboarding take on the aspects of a math problem just as much as a creative expression.”
