Rubblebucket Tear Down the House at Double Door - Chicago

Rubblebucket played at Double Door on Saturday night, what a great way to start off 2011, they are such an amazing band. They have this incredible stage presence, like a a seasoned veteran band. The audience couldn't help but dance the whole entire time. They are mix mash of all sorts of sounds, that remind me of Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend and Edward Shape and The Magnetic Zeros. Lead singer Kalmia Traver, has a similar voice to RĂ©gine Chassagne (singer in Arcade Fire), then the afro-pop sounds reminds me of Vampire Weekend and they have a heck of a lot of whistling in their music and have a large variety of sounds which reminds me of Edward Sharpe & Magnetic Zeros.

To end the show, they all came out into the audience which was a great way to embrace fans and make the show interesting, everything about the show was well planned and thought out. I can't wait to see where this band goes, I'm thinking they are going to get very big, very fast. We shall see...

The band has no planned trips back to Chicago in the near future, but you can go here, to get more information on the band and of course take a listen to them.

Go here to see more pictures of the show.
