Hockey huffed and puffed and blew the house down at Lincoln Hall in Chicago Friday night. It was a late night show in a sold out venue when smoke swarmed the stage as the band emerged with their dynamic energy. Like they say in their song “Wanna Be Black” they’ve been making dance music since 2002 and they really know how to fill the crowd with liveliness, so much that even the energizer bunny wouldn’t be able to keep up. Everyone was swaying back and forth and jumping up and down the entire show to the Oregon native’s upbeat electric dance music that reminds me of MGMT blended with Mika. My favorite song of the night had to be “Too Fake”, which is one of their more popular songs. I can’t wait to see them again out in the desert of Indio, California for Coachella next month. Be sure to check them out for an animated performance.
Listening to Hockey all morning... they are AWESOME! Wish they would huff and puff and blow my office down :)
